Sideman is a gig-booking platform operated by Mainstage Multimedia (“Sideman,” “we,” “us”). This policy explains what information we collect from musicians and band leaders who use the platform, and how we use it.
When you are invited to Sideman and create an account, we collect your name, email address, mobile phone number, city, and role-specific details (such as your instrument or band name). We also store the gigs, booking requests, and payout records you create or take part in.
We use your information to operate the platform: to connect band leaders with musicians, deliver booking requests, confirmations, cancellations, and reminders, and to display your bookings and payouts. We contact you by email and, if you opt in, by SMS text message.
If you provide your mobile number and opt in, we send you booking-related text messages: new booking requests, booking confirmations and declines, gig cancellations, and 24-hour gig reminders. Message frequency varies based on your booking activity. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP, or get help by replying HELP. You can also disable SMS notifications from your profile settings in the app.
We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile phone number or your SMS opt-in consent with any third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile information is used solely to deliver the Sideman notifications described above.
We share only the minimum information needed for the platform to work. For example, showing a band leader the name and instrument of a musician they invite, or showing a musician who invited them. We use trusted service providers (such as our hosting, email, and SMS providers) to operate the service; they may process your information only to provide those services to us.
We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service. We take reasonable measures to protect it.
